Alhóndiga de Granaditas
A majestic neoclassic fortress that witnessed the Mexican War of Independence, it was built from 1798 to 1809 to be used as a barn. Since the independence war started, it was only used with that purpose for only a while.
It is currently a museum that exhibits pre-Colombian works of art as well as contemporary art works.
Visits from Tuesday to Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Sundays from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The Square of Peace
It was considered the principal square before the Union Garden, a rose similarsquare, evokes other baseboards from cities founded by the Spaniards in many parts of the “New Spain Kingdom”.
It is located in the Historical Centre of Guanajuato, across “Basilica Catedral de NuestraSeñora de Guanajuato”.
